Sandy Springs
Sandy Springs is Georgia's sixth largest city. It encompasses communities from deep
inside the Perimeter, north to the Chattahoochee River bordering Roswell and East Cobb,
and extends east of GA-400 along Spalding Drive. (Zip Code 30350 is often mistakenly
thought to be in Dunwoody but is actually in Sandy Springs and Fulton County).
Incorporated in 2005 after many years of planning, this community finally came into its
own with other north Fulton communities following suit and incorporating soon
thereafter. It offers neighborhoods in all price ranges, access to major traffic arteries,
proximity to three hospitals, shopping, hotels, restaurants and several private schools
Dunwoody, situated just north of I-285 between GA-400 and Gwinnett County, centers
around the business district that lies along Chamblee-Dunwoody Road and Dunwoody
Village. It is a rich in cultural activities and natural beauty, and its neighborhood are
accessible to hospitals, highways, Perimeter Mall, theatres, many restaurants as well as
several private schools. Many neighborhoods were established in the 1970s and 1980s
and homes have been updated to varying degrees. These homes are on larger lots and
are beautifully wooded and private. New and newer construction, however, is available
including a number of high end attached home developments offering buyers numerous
choices in this convenient location.
Roswell /Mountain Park
Roswell is a city filled with Civil War history. Its Canton street area is known for its
restaurants and antique shopping. Geographically, Roswell extends west and east of
GA-400 and is a Hospitality Highway community. It offers much in the way of cultural
and recreational activities, park facilities.
Alpharetta
Alpharetta is the northern most suburbs along the Hospitality Highway, GA-400.
This populous community extends both east and west of the highway with each side
having its own unique feeling. Shopping, restaurants and many subdivisions make the
east side a bustling area. While the west side offers many of the same benefits, the
equestrian community in bordering Milton and the natural beauty of the area give it
a different feel.
Milton
In the upper northwest corner of Fulton County lies the city of Milton, Georgia.
Milton is unique in that it strives to maintain its beautiful, natural equestrian farms
and bucolic scenery. Many beautiful, high end neighborhoods are spotted along
Birmingham Highway. Newcomers continue to be attracted to this beautiful town.
